So Mischa is adapting pretty well to her new home with us. She still doesnt care much for Aiko, unfortunately. He wants to be her friend soooooo bad. They do play tug of war with toys quite a bit.
Little Aiko's nose is probably feeling a little sore though. Mischa got him quite a few times. Most of the time just warning nips.
Potty training is NOT working. They are just going anywhere now. I'm planning on ripping the carpet up and tiling our room. Probably around the first of January. Right now I've resorted to potty pads though. They seem to be inclined to use those, which is a relief. I have to go buy more.
Mischa started training a week ago. She's had two sessions. I'm hoping we can get her a bit more comfortable around other dogs, and people. Right now she is pretty solitary. Just likes me and Kaitlynn and thats it.
I'll post pictures soon. She is a real sweetie though. Aiko is growing up to be a doll as well. Very sweet and kind. Handsome little guy. I need more pictures of him, however he never sits still long enough....

No biting!!! YEY!
So lil Aiko didn't bite or even growl at me at all yesterday. It's working. I'm so happy. He is such a sweet little boy.
I think me being home more helps too. The girls just hug him and love him too much maybe he's just over stimulated.
I can't wait to get him into puppy classes. He is a smart little boy.

Toe Fetish?!
This lil boy likes to play. I mean he will play for hours on end. By himself with people with the other dogs (they get tired of him easily) and then with his toys. I love it! Sooo much energy. I really can't wait to take this little guy on walks. He will have a blast.
This morning before work he was overly excited. Why? I'm not sure. He sure wanted to play... and it wasn't with his toys... or with our hands. He LOVES FEET. Specifically... he likes to bite toes. Now.. toes are sensitive, and I will yelp "Ouch!" or "Owie" and he will calm down a little then start liking them, which tickles like mad! I push him away, and he comes back, I push him away and he comes back again. ITS HILARIOUS.
I just have to be really careful and not step on the little guy. It's funny how we keep finding out all these little quirks to him. He's got an awesome personality this little beast.
I think we are getting the biting thing under control finally. We'll see how the next few days pan out. I think now that I've been working less he's finally calming down.
Today he was "sitting" really well and he's learned "stay" today, and he's getting MUCH better at "Come". So his training is progressing :D. YEY!!

Aiko & Chloe
So Aiko has been getting used to his new home with us, and we all feel like he's part of the family.... everyone except for Chloe.
Chloe I guess is feeling a little jealous as this is a threat to her "baby" position. I suppose it's also my fault since I've been overly affectionate with Aiko. I will have to try and and be less affectionate to him when she's around. Either that or smother her in affection too >:]
Yesterday she kicked him, pulled his ear and then hit him. I think she got it though because I SERIOUSLY punished her for it and she has been a lot nicer to him.
However I don't want this to be a problem... so I guess I have to fix it soon.

Sweet but viscious...
Lil Aiko played for a bit in the room this morning while I got ready for work. He was so cute chasing his toys and stuff. I really love that little guy.
I left for a minute and came back and when I walked in, he ran to greet me at the door and wanted me to play with him.
I sat down and played with him for a little bit. We're still working on his bite inhibition. He likes to BITE toes. Screaming Owie! or Ouch used to work, but now he's just getting more rough. I dont understand why. We'll work on it. Next week will be better. I won't have to work so much. THANK GOD.

Biting
Aiko is biting again...
I thought we might have gotten through this. However I guess not. It will take some more work. I wish I wasn't working so much right now.
When Gioconda gets back from vacation next week I can hopefully go back to my normal hours. That would give me several more hours at home with the little guy. We'll get it. I am sure that it's because of my girls "loving" him too much.
I'm exhausted today and I ended up working until about 10 minutes ago. So Aiko and I barely played before I put him down... Now I think I might crawl into bed early, since I am so tired. 9:30pm makes me feel kinda old though...

Aww
Lil Aiko was such a doll yesterday.
I took him outside in the front yard to play. He LOVED it.
I got some great pictures of us :)!! I can't even express how much I love this little turd. Even when he bites me. It's so cute. I've been so excited all day to get home and see him. I want to take him outside again. Maybe go on a car ride. He likes the car. I wanted to go to Petsmart... but I haven't gotten paid yet. So I suppose that will be tomorrow.
I'm going to add these to the slide show plus the tons of others. :) I JUST ADORE THIS LIL BOY!!!!!!

Oh Joy! It's Monday!
I'm back to work again.... so soon. One day off really sucks @$$.
I miss lil Aiko. He is getting better with the biting. Really tightening his play, food, and crate time schedule works. I hope my brother can enforce this today for me.
I can't wait until I am back on my normal schedule.

Aiko Bites
SOoooooo.
Lil Aiko has a little mean streak to him.
He does NOT want to be cuddled. (Damn It)
Oh well, I suppose I can understand this. I've been reading on some forums about ways to stop the biting though. He doesn't bite so hard that he breaks the skin which is good.
Regardless of the biting I still adore him. I'm trying to give him some more puppy space, since we've been smothering him.
Today he was playing with Frankie (my parents Lab/Pit mix) VERY CUTE. LOL. Then he was chasing the greyhound, Victoria.
I'm honestly feeling a little discouraged about Aiko's biting. I've been trying some things and he still does it. I guess I should give it some time. I'm just anxious... lol... I really hope I can get him over it. I love him and really don't want to be bitten constantly... ouchies. I'm visiting these forums and I talked to the breeder... they say he just needs more space.

Tired...
I didn't get to play with this little guy too much. I spent most of my Saturday at work... :(
My brother was watching him for me though. I am lucky he is around and willing. Kaitlynn (my daughter) went to work with me. I begged my boss to let me take him in with me since it was a Saturday... she said yes finally... but said she was really mad about it. So I opt'ed to leave him home. T_T
I spent a lot of time browsing on some forums since it was a slow day... I got into a fight on the Dog Forums. I'm tired of people trying to insinuate that Aiko is not from a reputable breeder, when I know he is!! It's like twice now someone has stated in some off topic way that "only a reputable breeder..." GRRR.
- MOMMY RAGE -
Aiko bit me tonight. He was mad I picked him up. He didn't break the skin.... I'm hoping it isn't a normal thing...

AIKO IS FINE!
SO WONDERFUL NEWS:
They did ask me to bring back a fecal sample sometime. They said if his loose stools didn't clear up to bring it back sooner. However if they cleared up I could bring it back in a couple of weeks. They want to check it for parasites and stuff.

OMG! NOOOOOO!
I woke up this morning like usually (4:30 am and then 7:30 am) *grumble grumble* "Only for Aiko!"... and lil Aiko was having a hard time going poop! When he finally went it was really loose and there was a little blood in it!! (and a carrot) EEEWWW. Ok yea... EEWWWW.
So I am totally freaking OUT! I don't know if it's serious... or if I am overreacting. I called the vet and spoke with a nurse, she didn't seem to worried. As long as he's active and eating/drinking. (which thankfully he is)...
---- SO I think I freaked myself out more. I decided to go search in the forums for "blood in stool" and I found some frightening stories!!! Like yea.. frightening. I think I am going to move up his puppy appointment if I can....

Petsmart
So I took lil Aiko to Petsmart today!
I loveeeee driving with the little fella. He just curls up on my lap and sleeps and quietly lays there. My sissy Rene (Lorene) went with me. We stocked up on some of the essentials for the little boy!
- Nutro Max Puppy Chow
- Squeaky Stuffed Rabbit (He picked that one out himself!)
- A pink (I chose that) brush.
- Puppy Treats
- Black Adjustable Harness
The man that helped me was soooo nice. He asked the groomer for me, which brush was best for him and his coat. Also he showed me where everything was and adjusted the harness for me.
I get a lot of attention with Aiko. Thankfully the dog owners there know he's too little to touch still!
I'm thinking I should have bought a Kong. I read a lot about them in the forums... I guess I will get that on payday, as well as a fluffy bed for him to sleep on outside of his crate. He really likes to lay on soft stuff.
While I was there, a manager came out and saw little Aiko. She said she has an adult pomeranian that is about 6 years old, and she's had 3 others before. So we talked for about 45 minutes and she gave me tips on brushing him and about his awkward teenage hairloss around 4 months... eek! She gave me some pointers on training, and was really nice.
She said, "He is the cutest pomeranian puppy I've seen come through here in a looooong time, and I've seen a lot."
I thought that was a really nice thing to say!
At that point I lost my contact and had to leave. Thankfully my sister was with me and drove us home. I'm really blind.
Oh and lil Aiko peed on me... I guess I deserved it for holding him so long.
Oh Noes.... FLEAS!
Lil Aiko has been itching up a storm! I thought maybe he had dry skin or something so I pulled his fur apart and the poor little guy has tons of fleas!!
So I went to the pet hospital around the block and got him a treatment. I'll buy a 4 month supply later after I get paid for all these extra hours.
I put it on him so yey... hopefully no more fleas.
I scheduled his well puppy appointment for this Saturday. I don't think its time for him to get his vaccinations yet, since he got his first on 07/05.
Did I mention I love this puppy.... and I love him driving with me.. little cuddly boy...

Adorable!!!
Oh. Em. Gee.
This puppy is just sooooo adorable!!!
He is very cuddley right now. I expect that will change. He is just getting used to me!
I miss him while I am at work. I wish I didn't have to work so much this week and next week. I need more time with him. I'm going to Petsmart with him. I need to buy him some food and I want to get an adjustable harness, so we can start getting him ready for walking. Also, I think a few more toys...
I know I can't take him out on the streets yet, but I want to get him used to it in the house and in the yard until I can! I can't wait to take this handsome lil boy on walks!

Wanting a puppy!
- Small
- Fluffy
- Intelligent
- Loyal
- Playful
I found a local breeder (because I wouldn't want a puppy shipped) and because I wanted to meet the little fellow, meet the breeder and see her facilities.
I found the right breeder and she had puppies on the way. We talked the day he was born, and weekly there after. She called me when he was only a day away from being 7 weeks old. She said that normally she doesnt let the puppy go until he's 8 weeks, however because I waited so patiently and he had been weaned by his mommy early that I could have him at 7 1/2 weeks if I wanted.
I JUMPED. I WANTED HIM. I GOT HIM.
Meet my Aiko. Purebred Pomeranian. He's almost 8 weeks old.
Aiko - Meaning ( Ai = Love and Ko = Child) in Japanese also known as "Little Love" or "Beloved.
